thrilling

10
They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and
enjoying the favor of all the people. And the
Lord added to their number daily those who were
being saved. Acts 241-47

All the believers were one in heart and mind.
No one claimed that any of his possessions was
his own, but they shared everything they had.
With great power the apostles continued to
testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,
and much grace was upon them all. There were no
needy persons among them. For from time to time
those who owned lands or houses sold them,
brought the money from the sales and put it at
the apostles feet, and it was distributed to
anyone as he had need. Acts 432-35

So the word of God spread. The number of
disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a
large number of priests became obedient to the
faith. Acts 67

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and
Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was
strengthened and encouraged by the Holy Spirit,
it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the
Lord. Acts 931

But the word of God continued to increase and
spread. Acts 1224 So the churches were
strengthened in the faith and grew daily in
numbers. Acts 165

For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own
rented house and welcomed all who came to see
him. Boldly and without hindrance he preached
the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord
Jesus Christ. Acts 2830-31

They called the apostles in and had them flogged.
Then they ordered them not to speak in the name
of Jesus, and let them go. The apostles left the
Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been
counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the
Name. Day after day, in the temple courts and
from house to house, they never stopped teaching
and proclaim-ing the good news that Jesus is the
Christ. Acts 540-42

And Saul was there, giving approval to his death.
On that day a great persecution broke out
against the church at Jerusalem, and all except
the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and
Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned
deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the
church. Going from house to house, he dragged
off men and women and put them in prison. Acts

It was about this time that King Herod arrested
some who belonged to the church, intending to
persecute them. He had James, the brother of
John, put to death with the sword. Acts

They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the
city, thinking he was dead. But after the
disciples had gathered around him, he got up and
went back into the city. . . . They preached
the good news in that city and won a large number
of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra,
Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples
and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.
We must go through many hardships to enter the
kingdom of God, they said. Acts 1419-22

I have worked much harder, been in prison more
frequently, been flogged more severely, and been
exposed to death again and again. Five times I
received from the Jews the forty lashes minus
one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I
was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I
spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have
been constantly on the move. I have been in
danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in
danger from my own countrymen, in danger from
Gentiles in danger in the city, in danger in the
country, in danger at sea and in danger from
false brothers. I have labored and toiled and
have often gone without sleep I have known
hunger and thirst and have often gone without
food I have been cold and naked.2 Cor 1123-27

2. Share boldly be unafraid Now, Lord,
consider their threats and enable your servants
to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch
out your hand to heal and perform miraculous
signs and wonders through the name of your holy
servant Jesus. After they prayed, the place
where they were meeting was shaken. And they
were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke
the word of God boldly. Acts 429-31

3. Chatter the gospel in whatever
situation Now those who had been scattered by
the persecution in connection with Stephen
traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch,
telling the message only to Jews. Some of them,
however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to
Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also,
telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.
The Lords hand was with them, and a great number
of people believed and turned to the Lord. Acts
