13Sustainable Nature of the Parish
- A sustainable parish is able to generate
sufficient income to meet general operating
expenses through its offertory collection,
without having to rely on grants or rental
income. Sustainable parishes have sufficient
leadership to set the mission and vision of the
parish and sufficient membership to keep the
parish functional. They actively embrace a
stewardship way of life, one that encourages its
members to share the gifts of their time, talent
and resources with the parish family and to have
well-maintained buildings and facilities.
