Galatians 61-5

• 1 Brethren, even if a man is caught in any
  trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a
  one in a spirit of gentleness each one looking
  to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

• 1 you who are spiritual,
• Because the carnal cannot and will not accomplish
  the task.
• Matt 73-5
• Your influence speaks as much as your words.

• Because my meekness influences their repentance.
• 3. each one looking to yourself, lest you too
  be tempted.
• I consider how I would want to be admonished if
  the roles were reversed.

• Acts 823 For I perceive that thou art in the
  gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

• The bondage (addictiveness) of sin!
• Drunkenness and drug addiction
• Profanity
• Stealing
• Anger, verbal abuse, road rage
• Envy, jealousy
• Lustfulness
• Apathy
• 1 Tim 42 Speaking lies in hypocrisy having
  their conscience seared with a hot iron

• Acts 823 For I perceive that thou art in the
  gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

• The attitude of resentment!
• Bitterness against all that is good and
  righteous God, the Church, Christians.
• Heb 1215 See to it that no one comes short of
  the grace of God that no root of bitterness
  springing up causes trouble, and by it many be
  defiled

• Last State is Worse than the First!
• 2 Peter 2 20 For if after they have escaped
  the defilements of the world by the knowledge of
  the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again
  entangled in them and are overcome, the last
  state has become worse for them than the first.

• Return to Sin is Never Pretty!
• 2 Peter 221 For it would be better for them
  not to have known the way of righteousness, than
  having known it, to turn away from the holy
  commandment delivered to them.
• 22 It has happened to them according to the true
  proverb, "A dog returns to its own vomit," and,
  "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in
  the mire."

• Repentance becomes Impossible for Some
• Esau found no place for repentance.
• Heb 1215 See to it that no one comes short of
  the grace of God that no root of bitterness
  springing up causes trouble, and by it many be
  defiled
• 16 that there be no immoral or godless person
  like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a
  single meal.
• 17 For you know that even afterwards, when he
  desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected,
  for he found no place for repentance, though he
  sought for it with tears.

• Repentance becomes Impossible for Some
• Heb 64 For in the case of those who have once
  been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly
  gift and have been made partakers of the Holy
  Spirit,
• 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the
  powers of the age to come,
• 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to
  renew them again to repentance, since they again
  crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him
  to open shame.

• Repentance becomes Impossible for Some
• They crucify Christ all over again.
• Heb 1026 no more sacrifice
• They put Jesus to public shame.
• They have tasted the gospels power, but now
  reject it.
• Rom 116 the power of God to salvation
• The command to repent is the same
• Acts 238 Acts 822
• They know the powers of the age to come and do
  not care.
• Hell is not too hot, dark or horrible to fear.
• Heaven is not too beautiful to desire

• Acts 824 Desires prayers of others
• 1 Jn 19 If we confess our sins

Another Christian who sinned

• 1 Cor 51 committing immorality
• 1 Cor 52 The church had not mourned and removed
  this man from their midst.
• 1 Cor 54-5 To invoke repentance, they were
  to, when assembled (publicly) remove this man
  from among yourselves (withdraw from him).

Another Christian who sinned

• Their Collective Action Worked!
• The brother repented.
• 2 Cor 26-8 They were to receive him back.
• V 7 Forgive and comfort him
• V 8 reaffirm your love for him

Before a brother will return

• He must understand his terrible state!
• He must come to his senses to appreciate the
  great blessings of being a faithful Christian.
• Luke 1517-20
• 17 "But when he came to his senses, he said, 'How
  many of my father's hired men have more than
  enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger!
• 18 'I will get up and go to my father, and will
  say to him, "Father, I have sinned against
  heaven, and in your sight
• 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son
  make me as one of your hired men. "'
• 20 "And he got up and came to his father.

When a brother returns

• His brothers and sisters must receive him back
  with gladness.
• Luke 1532
• 'But we had to be merry and rejoice, for this
  brother of yours was dead and has begun to live,
  and was lost and has been found.' "
