    curriculum rather than sitting outside.

  • 14-19 White Skills paper (Feb 2005) identified
    the need to offer a motivating and engaging route
    for 14-16 year olds who
  • find it difficult to achieve progress within the
    current curriculum
  • Are dissatisfied and disengaged with other
    programmes available to them in school

  • The programme aims to
  • Motivate learners who are likely to be stimulated
    by more work-focused learning environment
  • Encourage learners to complete KS4 and progress
    to further learning, training or employment

    could leave school with no qualifications and be
    pretty sure you could get a job are long gone.
    If we are to remain competitive as a country we
