Introduction-I
  • In the next few days you will be in groups
    exploring various aspects of the play Romeo and
    Juliet as well as the life and times of the
    playwright William Shakespeare.

Introduction-II
  • Each person in the group will be responsible for
    a part in this project. Also, each person will be
    responsible for presenting his/her findings to
    the class during a group presentation.

Group Responsibilities-I
  • Each group will consist of four students.
  • Each student will have a role to play in the
    group.
  • It is up to the group to decide who will play
    what role.

Group Responsibilities-II
  • Genealogist
  • This person will study the Montague and Capulet
    families and make a family tree for each family.
  • This person will include any family, friends, and
    servants in the respective family tree.
  • This person will also be responsible for
    explaining the relationship of each person to
    another to the class.

  • Map Maker
  • Draw a map of Verona, Italy.
  • Make sure to include the Montagues house, the
    Capulets house, Friar Laurences cell, the town
    square, the mausoleum, and the city of Manchua.
  • Each location should be placed in respect to how
    they are described in the play.

    looked like based on what you have read (example

    for us to better understand the society Romeo and
    Juliet was set in.

Presentation
  • After everyone has completed his/her research,
    the group should come together to make a
    presentation using Power Point.
  • Each person will have a minimum of five slides
    for his/her presentation (excluding the
    genealogist and the map maker-they will have two
    slide and a poster board with their respective
    information).
  • Each slide will contain movement and some kind of
    picture/clip-art.

Conclusion
  • By the end of this project you will have seen how
    technology can help us better understand a play
    written hundreds of years ago. I hope you
