  • An interjection is a word that expresses emotion
    and has no grammatical relation to other words in
    the sentence
  • Interjections that show strong emotion are
    followed by an exclamation point.
  • Interjections that show mild emotion are followed
    by a comma.

Assignment
  • On a separate sheet of paper, please rewrite the
    following sentences. Number your paper 1-13 and
    identify every conjunction and its particular
    type. Extra credit if you can identify the
    interjection. The number in parenthesis tells you
    how many conjunctions are in that sentence.
