MISSION

• To bring about a sustainable method of
  addressing the issues of AIDS, TB and Malaria in
  Africa through supporting the Global Fund and
  exploiting other innovative financial mechanisms
  in the fight against the three diseases.

Resource Mobilization Strategy

• Cash contributions to GFATM
• Co-investment contributions
• Encourage and support the development of new
  sources of international financing.
• Follow-up commitments made by the African
  corporations, institutions and individuals.
• Design innovative methods for getting donations
  from the private sector (e.g. branding of
  GFATM-friendly products and services with a
  percentage of sales going to GFATM)
• Work with countries to brand GFATM projects.

Support to GFATM Projects through communication

• steady flow of communication on project
  successes, challenges and lessons learned to the
  global community.
• FOFA will also facilitate visits of Global Fund
  representatives with key decision makers, plan
  parliamentary briefings, and coordinate
  Africa-based media outreach to maximize exposure
  of the fight against the diseases and the role of
  the Global Fund.
