• Objectives
• Engage University and Research Institute
  undergraduates and postgraduates to act as
  mentors and role models for Science students in
  Science and engineering research.
• Support and promote the teaching and learning of
  Science in Secondary Schools in JCs.

  Institutes
• gt Third year undergraduates and postgraduates
  in Science or Engineering disciplines who
• gt Possess keenness in science and role model

• gt Have an interest in sharing their experience
  in university research

• Role of TAs
• Mentor students in science research projects
• Conduct laboratory demonstrations
• Produce experiment or teaching materials
• Compile notes and instructions on the use of
  sophisticated science equipment
• Plan and organize science enrichment activities
  such as field trips and Science Day
• Carry out any other activities as may be required
  by MOE, teachers and students.

• Full-time Industrial Attachment
• 40 hours per week
• Part-time not more than 20 hours
• per week

• Category of TA Post-graduates Undergraduates
• Full Time NA 600 per month
• Part Time 40 per hour 25 per hour
• No CPF contributions/ tax requirements

  Request for TAs
• 2 Oct - Briefing to NUS/NTU undergraduates/post
  graduates by ASTAR
• 26 Oct - Deadline for undergraduates/ post

• Early Nov - Panel to process and allocate TAs to
  schools
• Mid to - Schools to interview and confirm
• End Nov appointment of TAs
• Jan - TAs start reporting to respective schools
