Quick Write/Sketch 2/28/05
  • It is the eye of ignorance that assigns a fixed
and unchangeable color to every object beware of
    this stumbling block.  Paul Gauguin
  • Sketch using the techniques of Local Color vs.
Subjective Color (you should know what this
means, it was in the Color Theory lecture and has
to do with this quote--and will be on your quiz).

10
In-Class Assignment 9 (2/28/05-3/1/05)
  • Read and understand the webpage at
    http//daphne.palomar.edu/design/color.html
  • Create 6 quick files in ImageReady, showing your
understanding of the 6 color schemes that Mr. Saw
describes on the above web page.
  • Name the files with what it is that you are
    demonstrating, such as "achromatic.psd,"
"chromatic_grays.psd," etc., and save them in
    your "PSD_originals" folder.
  • Then resave each file (using the "Save Optimized
As command) as a gif or jpg and put it in your
"practice" folder (yes, you will have 2 copies of
    each file)
  • Then create a webpage called "color_schemes.html"
that has all your jpg or gif's and an explanation
in your own words of each color scheme.
