Sailing home

• For I am already being poured out like a drink

How are you living now?

• 7I have (1)fought the good fighta purposeful,
  disciplined life.
• 24Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only
  one person gets the prize. You also must run in
  such a way that you will win. 25All athletes
  practice strict self-control. They do it to win a
  prize that will fade away, but we do it for an
  eternal prize. 26So I run straight to the goal
  with purpose in every step. I am not like a boxer
  who misses his punches. 27I discipline my body
  like an athlete, training it to do what it
  should. 1 Cor. 924-27 NLT

• 8We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we
  are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but
  we dont give up and quit. 9We are hunted down,
  but God never abandons us. We get knocked down,
  but we get up again and keep going. 10Through
  suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share
  in the death of Jesus

• so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in
  our bodies. 11Yes, we live under constant danger
  of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life
  of Jesus will be obvious in our dying bodies.

Never give up!

• 16That is why we never give up. Though our
  bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed
  every day. 17For our present troubles are quite
  small and wont last very long. Yet they produce
  for us an immeasurably great glory that will last
  forever! 18So we dont look at the troubles we
  can see right now rather, we look forward to
  what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we
  see will soon be over, but the joys to come will
  last forever. 2 Cor. 416-18. NLT
