How to prevent yourself from getting a STD
  • Abstinence is the best ways to protect yourself
    from getting a STD.
  • Using protection when having intercourse is the
    second best way to protect yourself.
  • Getting your partner and yourself checked at
    least twice a year by your doctor.

Different Types Of STDs
  • No Cure (Viral)
  • HIV/AIDS- Is not curable. It slowly attacks your
    immune system and destroys your white blood
    cells.
  • Herpes- The sores that an infected person have is
    very painful and can not be cured.
  • HPV Genital Warts- It infects your skin in many
    different ways. Most people who are infected
    doesnt know they have it.
  • Curable STDs
  • Syphilis- Gives you a higher chance of getting
    HIV/Aids.
  • Chlamydia- It is the most common type of STDs and
    can damage women more then men.
  • Gonorrhea- It can spread to your joint and blood.
    When it does it is very life threatening. It can
    cause serious and permanent damage to your body.

Teen Pregnancy
  • About one million teens get pregnant each year.
  • The big issue to teen pregnancy is the babys
    health risks.
  • 80 of teen mothers will depending on welfare at
    one point.
  • About one-third of teem mothers receive a high
    school diploma.

Alcohol
  • Alcohol is known to be one of the things that is
    killing most teens.
  • Effects that alcohol are dizziness, talkativeness
    and the effects from using a larger amount of
    alcohol are slurred speech, disturbed sleep,
    vomiting and loss of coordination.
  • Heavy drinkers are slowly damaging their liver,
    brain and heart.
  • Drinking alcohol for a long period of time can
    also cause memory loss, psychotic behavior,
    hallucinations the snakes and muscle damage.
