  • Recommend Tyvek StuccoWrap as the water barrier
    with flat insulation

22
Rollershield EIFS

    water barrier
  • Use drywall mesh tape at board joints, double
    Rollershield at joints

23
Stucco Cement Board Coatings

cement board substrate and secondary water
    barrier
  • A double layer of mesh is used at board joints
  • Good durability with moderate cost

24
One Coat Stucco (OCS)
  • Like traditional stucco, but with fibers
  • Installed thinner than regular stucco, ½ is
    typical
  • A water barrier is required over sheathing
  • May be applied directly to masonry or concrete
  • May not be available in all areas

25
Cemplaster Stucco
  • Traditional stucco with a Master Wall warranty
  • Several different systems available with
warranties from five to ten years

    water barrier
  • Uses WeatherStop as a secondary water barrier and
WeatherStop Flashing Tape to seal all

    Aggre-flex System
  • Great for commercial installations where
maintaining the fire rating is required

28
QRW1 Drainage EIFS
  • Industry Classified as Class PI
    Polyisocyanurate over a water-resistive barrier
  • Uses the Polyiso board rather than Molded
    Expanded Polystyrene insulation (MEPS)
  • Larger sheets
  • Higher compressive strength compared to MEPS
  • Higher initial R-value compared to MEPS, but will
    drift
  • Cannot be rasped to level wall irregularities
  • Generally uses plastic trims, but backwrapping
remains an option. Detailing is similar to Class
    PB EIFS
  • Uses control joints to compensate for thermal
movement and possible insulation board shrinkage
  • Install every 30 lineal feet, detail locations on
    drawings

29
