General Company Description
  • We will be marketing cell phones and cell phone
    accessories to everyone. In a day and age where
    cell phones are regarded as a must, we know
    people will be interested in our products
  • Through market research, we have found that there
    is a high demand for cellular phones and
    accessories in our target market. Our target
    market will be businessmen and women along with
    individuals within the 15 to 35 age range.
  • We have decided to form a partnership. We believe
    a partnership is the best legal form of ownership
    for our company because we can set the business
    up quickly, avoid many of the legal requirements
    involved in creating a corporation, and pool the
    managerial talents and capital of the business
    partners.

  • We will conduct market research to measure the
    demand for locked and unlocked cellular phones
    and accessories in the Hoboken area. Knowing that
    all marketing efforts begin and end with the
    consumer, we will begin with a consumer
    orientation. Once we make a commitment to a
    customer orientation, we will take steps toward
    locating and describing potential customers
    through market analysis.

Starting Barriers
  • High product cost- each cell phone to purchase
    can range from any where from 50-200 so product
    cost will put the business pretty deep in the
    whole at the start
  • High marketing cost- for our business to become
    successful well will have to spend a lot of one
    advertising our store and our services. The store
    will be highly in debt when it when it is open
    and to quickly remove that dept tons of promotion
    will be needed.
  • Employee Training- employees at our store will
    need to training on customer repairs and
    troubleshooting, product knowledge, service
    knowledge, sales training (if needed), and
    cellular plan knowledge
  • Shipping cost- all of our products are produced
    from all of the major cell phone companies so all
    products will have to be shipped
  • Company barriers- our store will have to form
    agreements with the major cell phone providers in
    order to use their phones, accessories, and plans
    with in our store. We will also need to make an
    agreement with companies to make their phones be
    unlocked so they can use all any service for
    their phone.

Affects on the Business
  • Change in technology- the change in technology
    will not affect our store in a negative way. Our
    store constantly receives our products from major
    companies so they will always ship us their new
    advanced products so we dont have to worry about
    competing with new technologies. The new
    technologies will just help our company bring in
    more customers who are looking for the latest
    cellular phone
  • Change in Government regulations- If the
    government were to cut down on the use of cell
    phones then our company would be drastically hurt
    because our company is solely based the cell
    phone industry and every aspect about it that we
    would need to debate choosing another industry.
  • Change in the economy- The economy will affect
    our business if it rises of falls. If the economy
    rises then the company can increase pricing on
    the products and service. If the economy falls
    then the pricing will have to go down on products
    and services but the need for cell phones will
    not because cell phones are a necessity in the
    world today
  • Change in the industry- If the industry were to
    change we will still be provided with the new
    material from all of the large wireless
    companies. The store will have to focus more on
    advertising that it has new products that have
    changed in the industry

Promotional Budget
  • Before starting- the advertising of the products
    before we start will be placed on posters and
    stands that will be stationed in the front of the
    store. The set up of the different sections will
    take time and labor that the store will have to
    spend to make the store easy to find the product
    that the customer requires and also so the store
    is set up in an appealing way
  • On going- the store will continue to require
    posters for the front of the store but will also
    need posters for the walls and each section of
    the store because the business will be stable
    amongst the Hoboken citizens. The store will
    require paint for the window advertisements and
    glass sticking advertisement.

Pricing
  • The method that we would use to price our
    products we will be too base our prices to those
    of the major competitors but raise the price
    10-20 more than the MSRP.
  • Repairs will charge a 5-10 servicing fee plus
    the requirement needed to fix the phone.
  • The service of unlocking the phone will cost
    10-20 dollars because of the labor required to
    unlock a phone
  • Accessories price will be 1-5 more then the
    MSRP.

Distribution Channels
  • Retail- we have sales men who will help the
    customer decide on which phone will be suet their
    needs. Also all of our services such as phone
    repair and phone unlocking can only be done with
    in the store
  • Internet- All the phones and accessories will be
    sold over the internet. Also the services can be
    registered for over the internet making it easier
    for the customer to avoid going to the store and
    having to fill out paper work for that would be
    required for the services. Registering for the
    services still requires the phone to be brought
    into the store.

  • Employees of the store are divided into small
    little groups that keep the business running at
    top efficiency.
  • The business will need at only four salesman and
    two managers to work inside the store. Since the
    store is a small single oriented store it only
    requires 9 or 10 employees.
  • An accountant will be hired to maintain accurate
    financial records.

  • BizTech Wireless will be providing various
    products and services to consumers. We will be
    providing Cingular cellular phones along with
    cell phone accessories. Our cell phone
    accessories include cell phone cases, batteries,
    and Bluetooth headsets.
  • Our store will also have a free in-store WiFi
    kiosk. Customers will be able to search the
    internet for cell phone products and also will be
    able to reach customer service if they are having
    problems with their current phones.
  • We will have staff on site that is extremely
    knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful in order to
    assist the customers in every way possible. We
    will also offer free beverages to customers
    including excellent coffee, water, and juices.
    This will provide a unique and relaxing
    atmosphere for shoppers.
