What is Bagcats ?
  • Bagcats is an abbreviation of British age group
    category awards.
  • The Age groups are Girls 9 13 boys 9 14
    years
  • The aim is to encourage young swimmers to compete
across a range of events as opposed to
    specialising in a specific event.
  • In each event the swimmers time is converted to a
point score according to the ASA age conversion
times. This is calculated and published by the
    event organiser.
  • The highest point score in each category counts
    toward the overall aggregate total.
  • The swimmer with the highest aggregate score is
the winner of the BAGCATS award for the relevant
    competition.
