What is P-WEC ?

• Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center
• (P-WEC) is an educational centre to learn about
  wildlife conservation and their habitat and also
  about animal welfare.

P-WEC is located in foothill of Kawi Mountains,
Malang, East Java, Indonesia

• P-WEC was established by ProFauna Indonesia in
  2003.
• ProFauna Indonesia is a non-government
  organisation working for the protection of wild
  animals and their habitat
• PROFAUNAS ACTIVITIES
• Campaign and Education
• Investigation of wildlife trade and animal
  cruelty
• Wild Animal Rescue
• ProFauna runs animal sanctuary and provides
  veterinary treatments
• ProFauna is completed with wild animal rescue
  centre and education facility

Why P-WEC was Established ?

• The existence of P-WEC is related to soft
  campaign in ProFauna about education. ProFauna
  needed to set up a special place as centre of
  education focusing on wildlife conservation and
  animal welfare. So, ProFauna established P-WEC
  (Petungsewu Wildlife Education Centre) as an
  independence field project.
• Also, P-WEC is one alternative of ProFauna
  fundraising

• P-WEC is visited by around 500 people per month.
• P-WEC established 23 fauna clubs in senior high
  school, East Java, Indonesia
• P-WEC is often chosen as a site for NGO,
  government institution, college student, local
  community and public meeting especially for
  educative training .
• P-WECs educational activities are covered by
  both local and national newspapers, TVs and
  Radios through the year.
• P-WECs educational materials are frequently used
  as a reference and comparative study of
  enviromental NGOs and other private educational
  institutions.
