  • AIMS AND OBJECTIVES 1
  • Overall aim
  • To work with key stakeholders to implement the
    LSC Equality and Diversity Strategy, enabling
    organisations to better address issues of social
    and economic exclusion and in particular barriers
    to learning preventing individuals engaging in
    learning and progressing into employment.

  • SO1 To improve collaboration, partnership
    working and exchange of best practice and
    understanding of need at a local and sub-regional
    level to support equality and diversity as an
    integral mode of operation for those
    organisations involved in learning.
  • SO2 To promote the benefits and the different
    routes to learning for targeted groups.
  • SO3 To assist in removing barriers to learning
    for targeted groups, through customised holistic
    actions, involving a range of stakeholders,
    including employers, and increasing engagement,
    progression into mainstream provision, retention
    and achievement.
  • SO4 To improve the systems and infrastructure
    supporting the understanding of needs and
    planning to meet the needs of target groups.

  • OO1 To bring together key stakeholders to agree
    a delivery plan
  • OO2 To coordinate and enable delivery of a range
    of actions at local, cross district and
    sub-regional levels as agreed in the delivery
    plan

  • OO4 To communicate and collaborate with key
    players in the different sectors within WY at
    sub-regional and local level, and within themes

    LSC, enabling consultations and influencing
    future strategies and policies
  • OO6 To consult on and promote the LSC ED Action
    Plan implementation, through local and
    sub-regional channels, to enable engagement and
    access to support for relevant stakeholders and
    target groups.
  • OO7 To set up systems to monitor progress on
    delivery of individual actions and measure impact
    on the target groups.
