Introduction

• We propose this program to the city of Lubbock.
• The purpose of this program is to acquire
  research which we believe lead to a better
  recycling program in Lubbock

Our Proposed Plan

• Curbside Pick Up Pilot Program
• Two neighborhoods
• 100 houses in each neighborhood
• Provide three containers for each house for
  paper, plastic, and aluminum
• Pick up recyclables twice a week
• Analyze which neighborhood recycles the most

Saving Landfill Space

• Will reduce trash in landfills
• Roughly 5277.46 square feet of trash is
  disseminated in the landfill per trash pick-up
  day
• Size of landfill/(pick up times in1yr. X number
  of years expected to be in operation)
