10WHY EFMD CEL ?
- There is a broad consensus that more effort is
needed on quality improvement in
technology-enhanced learning both in schools and
companies. - The quality of ICT-based learning programmes vary
widely. - There is a need for a concept of quality
improvement which is theoretically sound and also
meets the expectations of practice.
11What makes CEL unique?
- CEL is focusing on technology-enhanced learning
in management education and not just focusing on
e-Learning software products - The quality framework represents a conclusive
system of relevant factors based on substantial
research
12PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Must be related to management education,
- Must have the equivalent of a minimum of 100
hours of candidate learning effort, - Must include participant feedback mechanism,
- Must have been operated at least once.
- A programme is considered technologically-enhance
d if 20 of its overall duration is delivered by
teaching or learning methods within the ICT
range.
13Examples of Management Education Programmes
- 1. Highly formalized programmes such as an
Executive MBA Programme covering more than 1000
hours of candidate learning effort. - 2. Programmes of a shorter duration, addressing
specific issues of management education in a
systematic way (about 100 learning hours). - 3. Customized or company specific programmes
which aim at explicitly stated objectives of
competence development, but are flexible in the
application of different learning methods.
