Scotland without a king

• Alexander 111 had no children that he could leave
  to the throne as they had all died he wanted his
  granddaughter Margaret to take the throne but she
  was only 1 years old there was no hair to the
  throne.
• King Alexander 111 was riding home on his horse
  that night he fell of a cliff and in the morning
  a man found him and his horse lying dead.

Scottish nobles asks Edward 1 who to be king?
Two Scottish nobles went and asked Edward 1 who
should be king of Scotland. He agreed to help
them if he could be overlord of Scotland they
agreed. He met up with the Nobles and decided who
should be king. He agreed to have John Balliol as
King

English charges into Scotland
Edward charged into Berwick wrecking the walls
and killing most of the people living in the
town. There were rivers of blood running down the
whole street people drowning in the sea. He was
charging taking over land and castles.
Edward first went to Berwick wrecking the walls
and killing everyone in the town they went for
here first as this was the richest town in
Scotland. He headed down the way and took over
all the castles in Scotland.

The King
While John Balliol is running Scotland People are
calling him a puppet King or Toom tabard which
means empty jacket and he wore the clothe but
was ruled by Edward. He was getting called the
Hammer of the Scots and was not very happy he
wanted to be king of the whole of Scotland and
England

Edward takes over Scotland
Edward still wants to run the Scots so he
threatened to take over the land owners land if
he did not get to rule them. He started something
called the ragman's roll and people would sign it
if they agreed that Edward could be there
king. Always everybody did as they wanted to keep
their land. Except two me William Wallace and
Andrew Murray

Wallace and Murray
William Wallace was a Young man was a true
Scottish man and a very Brave one. Wallace never
ever shined the ragman's roll because a Sheriff
of England Killed his wife. Andrew Murray was
also a Scot his father was took by Edward. And so
was most of his loving caring family but now he
had no family left at all.

Edward hears the news
Edward was shocked when he heard the news that
Wallace and Murray had not agreed with him to be
his King. He was so annoyed the English wanted
war and so did the Scots. S why dont they fight
for freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The war began
That same day the Scottish Fought for the freedom
they wanted in Scotland. They started down at
Abbey Craig and waited until the English Went
over Stirling bridge then the Scots charged down
and a lot of the English drowned and got stuck in
Marsh. The Scots came down as they were all
shouting Freedom!!!!!!! The swords and spears
clanged against the English. The SCOTS had won it
was incredible the small not very welled equipped
against the English.

Not long after
Not long after the war Andrew Murray dyed of a
serious wound in his Stomach. Edward died leaving
the Scots with their own freedom that they wanted
in Scotland. Wallace was made Guardian of
Scotland. And The SCOTS had freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!.
