  • JAAT Office employs 1 secretary.
  • Budget
  • JICA annually subsidized from the JICA Thailand
    office.

  • Association was legally registered in 1987.
  • The executive committee to hold a position
  • for 2 years and participate in monthly meeting
    with their consultants.
  • The annually audit accounts and summarizes the
    report to the JICA Thailand office.

Objectives
  • To continue relationship between members.
  • To strengthen good relationship between Thais and
    Japanese.
  • To exchange academic contents, knowledge, art and
    culture as well as tradition.
  • To stimulate development in accordance with the
    rapid changing world and use the knowledge for
    benefiting and advantages of our nations.
  • To reinforce merit in order to develop attitude,
    ethics, capacity as well as virtue.

  • Hold annual meetings to approve the association
    management and to elect the committee for the
    term of two years.
  • Meeting of the management committee monthly.

    the JICA Thailand office.
  • Producing a CDROM of the JAAT members directory.

  • Cooperate with the JICA Thailand office in
    organizing briefings, for new participants prior
    to their departure for JICA courses.

3. Cultural Study
  • - Boat trip taken on June 27, 2003 on the Nakorn
    Chaisri river for studying traditional Thai life.

4. Technical Seminar
  • - Cooperating with the department of Industrial
    Promotions in organizing the seminar of Waste
    Water Treatment on August 29, 2003 in the
    Ayutthaya province.

5. Sharing Experience
  • - Educational talk held on September 13, 2003 on
    Buddhism and IT conducted by Dr. Rojrung
    Suwannasuthi, the JAAT first president.

6. Cultural Conservation
  • - Participated and Promoted the Thai tradition
    Loy Krathong Festival on November 8, 2003.

  • - Bowling competition shared by our JAAT members
    and related organizations on November 16, 2003.

  • - Celebrated His Majesty the Kings 76th
    Birthday Anniversary on December 5, 2003.

Constrains
  • Budget
  • Annually subsidised by JICA which is insufficient
  • Participation in activities
  • Lack of involvement by the JAAT members in the
    activities.
  • JAAT members come from various fields and level
    of ranks. Their interested in activities are
    varied.

Future Plans
  • To improve networking among members. There should
    be coordinators/representatives from various
    organizations.
  • To seek additional budgets to operate
    self-sufficiently of the JAAT
  • To promote the members potential for more
    utility throughout the country.
  • To participate in an exchange program, such as
    home stay, projects with the JICA Alumni
    Organization throughout Asian countries.
