Expectations
  • The Short course is a very valuable course to
take and is used in assessing the suitability of
    a student for A level.
  • It is also a very useful qualification to have
    when applying for work.
  • Students need to invest time and produce good
    quality work to be successful.
  • Students will get extra help from their teachers,
and homework will be set as preparation for the
    next week.
  • Enrichment time is allocated for students to
catch up on something they may have missed during
    the lessons.

8
Expectations
  • Students will be carefully monitored during the
course and those less who are insufficiently
motivated, falling behind with their work, or
frequently absent or late will be warned and have
a letter sent home informing their parent of the
    situation.
  • If there is no improvements, students may be
moved to a group where they might not be entered
for the June examination and may be offered an
alternative less demanding course such as the
    Certificate of Achievement.
