Before creating a long HP

• Adjust the settings in the Manager

Abdomen series

• CR HP doesnt open all of the pertinent priors
• We include a chest film in our series
• Like to have prior abdomen films and prior chest
  films
• Select patient I0007 and highlight
• Abdomen 3 or more views (x2)
• Abdomen 1 view
• Chest 2 views (x2)

Open the case

• Click on open with button
• Choose template 1-up 4-up SYS INT
• Drag the master series for each exam
• Recent abdomen series to the left monitor
• Others to the right Monitor
• Top left older abdomen series
• Top right abdomen 1 view
• Bottom viewports the chest exams

Save Hanging protocol

• Click Customize at the top of the left screen
• Select Create hanging protocol
• Type Abdomen Series under HP name
• OK

Case type

• Use CPT code
• Click on Disable series processing
• This will allow all of the images to display
  together even if taken in separate groups
• Save

Viewport info

• Keep Modality W/L and Auto W/L clicked
• This will use the W/L sent from the modality if
  this information is not sent by the modality, the
  images will auto W/L

More Viewport Info

• Check
• Columns 1
• Rows 1
• Fit to size
• Uncheck the Window/Level under Apply to Image
  Set- (should already be unchecked)
• Save Viewport info
• Click Next

Save viewport 2

• Matching prior
• Change up to 10 years
• Exact CPT match
• Click on disable series processing
• Save case info
• Check viewport info and save
• Click next

Save viewport 3

• Other related case
• Change up to 10 years
• Exact CPT match- CPT 74000
• Click on disable series processing
• Save case info
• Check viewport info and save
• Click next

Save viewport 4

• Other related case
• Change up to 10 years
• Similar CPT match- CPT 71020- this will display
  most recent chest exams (1V or 2V)
• Click on disable series processing
• Save case info
• Check viewport info and save
• Click next

Save viewport 5

• Other related case
• Change up to 10 years
• Similar CPT match- CPT 71020- same as prior
  viewport
• Click on disable series processing
• Save case info
• Check viewport info and save
• Click Save Stage

Save stage

• Dont touch the pop-up box
• Click on the arrow top right hand corner next to
  TP 1-up 4-up
• OK
• Select template Wide-2
• Drag the recent abdomen series master image set
  from the preview box to the merged viewport

Save Stage 2

• Click Next Stage on the pop-up box
• Click on the case info tab
• Dont click Use this stage when priors are not
  available
• This would cause the exam to open on Stage 2
  whenever theres no prior Abdomen series, even if
  there is a chest or 1 view abdomen

More Viewport Info

• Double-check
• Columns 1
• Rows 1
• Fit to size
• Window/Level under Apply to Image Set is
  unchecked
• Save Viewport info
• Click Save Hanging Protocol

Test the Hanging protocol

• Close the exam
• Re-open by simply double clicking on the most
  recent abdomen series
• Close and try again with button Open/ No prior
