DESCRIPTION OF SCHOOLS
  • The Genesis and Alternative Schools serve (9)
    nine schools districts in Clermont County
    currently we serve a total of 12 districts
    including Fayetteville, Blanchester and Forest
    Hills.
  • There are two separate programs housed in the
    same building.
  • The Genesis School is a special education
    program.
  • The Alternative School is a regular education
    program.
  • Enrollment ranges from approximately 90 to 100
    students in both programs combined.

DESCRIPTION OF SCHOOLS
  • The staff consists of
  • 2 administrators
  • school resource officer (SRO)
  • registered nurse
  • school psychologist
  • speech language pathologist
  • 15 teachers
  • 17 paraprofessionals
  • 9 mental health staff
  • occupational therapist

GENESIS SCHOOL
  • The Genesis School
  • Is a public separate school.
  • Serves students kindergarten through twelve.
  • Serves students identified as having
    behavioral/emotional disabilities.
  • Provides academic, social, and emotional
    instruction.
  • Provides additional mental health supports
    contracted through Child Focus, Inc.

ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL
  • The Alternative School
  • Is an alternative setting for regular education
    in lieu of suspension or expulsion from their
    home district.
  • Serves grades (7) seven through (12) twelve.
  • Provides academic, social, and emotional
    instruction.
  • Provides additional mental health supports
    contracted through Child Focus, Inc.

EDUCATIONAL TEAMS
  • Students are assigned in classrooms based upon
    age and grade level.
  • There are two classrooms per team team members
    consist of two teachers, two classroom
    assistants, and one mental health case manager.

  • discuss student performance and progress
  • determine functions of behaviors
