HPC at the Technion

• 2003- Usage was 80-90 on parix
• Carmel and Or were available
• at IUCC free of charge
• Jan 2004- Starting to charge Or/ carmel
• usage . Users stop to use IUCC
• computers. Parix goes down
• to 30-40 usage.

• Carmel was dismantled Technion gets 32
  processors
• No maintenance funds, and only former Or users
  can run on carmel

• Increase in parix usage back to former values
  e.g.users complains it is full.
• We got maintenance funds for Carmel
• after an hardware problem
