Appearance and Habitat

• Lives on the Falkland Islands
• No trees in their habitat
• Has yellow eyebrows and plumes
• Red beak
• 22 inches tall
• Weighs 5 to 10 lbs

Chicks and eggs

• Lays two eggs.
• The male and female take turns caring for the
  egg.
• Nest is made out of sticks , bones, leaves,
  grass, and pebbles.
• First egg is always the smallest penguin.
• The egg hatches in December.
• 9 to 10 weeks the chicks are able to enter the
  sea in search for their own food.

• Eats krill
• Seems to pop out of the water onto rocks.
• The leopard seal is one of their predators.
• The most aggressive of penguins.
• Are not born with crests.
• The smallest of the crested penguins

  the sea maybe even faster than me.
• Youre the strangest bird Ive ever seen. Your
  little feathers are cute as can be
• Waddling down the icy shore of Antarctica.
  Rockhopper hopping over big rocks playing in the
  blue ocean water!
