Title: DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
1DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
- Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
In order to anticipate and plan for the future
needs of the department and our stakeholders, an
environmental assessment is completed during the
planning phase of the MFR cycle. From this
assessment, we identify issues that should be
addressed within our strategic plan. Those
issues include...
2DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
- Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
ONE The reactions of the State
and the Courts to failing fiduciaries and
financial abuse cases places an increased demand
for accountability of fiduciaries and result in
more cases and court ordered investigations and
additional risk exposure for Public Fiduciary
operations.
3DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
- Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
TWO To reduce County exposure to risk
and provide accountability for services
delivered, existing management information
systems must be enhanced to improve data
collection, data management, and data reporting.
4DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
- Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
THREE The increasing number of
elderly and vulnerable adults in Arizona results
in more persons needing fiduciary services and
places increased demands on the Public Fiduciary
requiring more staff for investigative services
and the additional cases.
5DEPARTMENTAL ISSUES
- Maricopa County Public Fiduciary
FOUR The lack of understanding or
acceptance by other agencies and the Court of the
Public Fiduciarys role often results in time
consuming interference and unnecessary court
appointments which result in an increased
caseload and court reporting and impedes our
ability to adequately serve those in need.
