How do you get to Heaven?

One minute after you die YOUR future will be
irrevocably fixed and eternally unchangeable!

• Truth is found in Gods Word
• not in mans ideas

Col. 116 For by him all things were created
things in heaven and on earth, visible and
invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or
authorities all things were created by him and
for him.

Misconceptions...

• Heaven will NOT be a boring place.
• We will NOT walk and sleep on clouds.
• We will NOT be issued Halos.
• Everyone will NOT eventually arrive there.

Ten Questions concerning Heaven...

• 1. Where is Heaven?
• 2 Cor. 122a, 4 I know a man in Christ who
  fourteen years ago was caught up to the third
  heaven... He heard inexpressible things, things
  that man is not permitted to tell.
• 1st heaven Our atmosphere. Jer 425
• 2nd Heaven Outer Space / stars / galaxies. Is
  4026
• 3rd Heaven Celestial abode of God. 2Chron. 618

• 2. Who are the occupants of Heaven?
• Hebrews 1222-23 But you have come to Mount Zion,
  to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living
  God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of
  angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of
  the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.
  You have come to God, the judge of all men, to
  the spirits of righteous men made perfect,
• God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

• Angelic host of angels - seraphims cherubims.
  Ez 1 Is 6
• O.T. and N.T. believers who exercise faith in the
  Lord. Rev 19

• 3. Will we recognize our loved ones? YES
• Mark 95 Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good
  for us to be here. Let us put up three
  shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for
  Elijah."
• Disciples recognized Moses Elijah at the
  Transfiguration.
• Disciples recognized Jesus after His
  resurrection.
• The rich man knew people after his death.

• 4. Will there be Babies in Heaven? YES
• 2 Samuel 1223 But now that he is dead, why
  should I (David) fast? Can I bring him back
  again? I will go to him, but he will not return
  to me."
• Age of Accountability

• Prime of Life age ??
• The age Jesus died 33 years old ??

• DONT THINK SO
• Pets do not possess a spirit ONLY Man does!
• ONLY man was created in Gods Image!

  POSSIBLY
• (Luke 16 Rev 21)
• The Rich man remembered his brothers, etc.
• In New Jerusalem God wipes away our tears

• 8. Will there be rewards for faithful service?
  YES (2Co 510 1Co 310-15)
• Rev. 2212 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward
  is with me, and I will give to everyone according
  to what he has done.
• Bible speaks of crowns, rewards, authority,
  service...
• The right to rule and reign over... (worlds
  unknown ???)

• 9. How does God describe Heaven?
• AWESOME!
• Rev. 2110-11 And he carried me away in the
  Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed
  me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of
  heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of
  God, and its brilliance was like that of a very
  precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

  !
• Eternal Permanence built to last an eternity !
• Absolute Perfection a place of no mores !
• Glory of God His brilliance is radiated
  throughout!

• 10. How do we get to Heaven?
• Personal Faith in CHRIST!
• John 142-6 In my Father's house are many rooms
  if it were not so, I would have told you. I am
  going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And
  if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
  back and take you to be with me that you also may
  be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place
  where I am going." 5 Thomas said to him, "Lord,
  we don't know where you are going, so how can we
  know the way?" 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way
  and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
  Father except through me.

God invites YOU to join Him for an Eternity in
Heaven!

  gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
  in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

• By Faith receive Jesus into YOUR Heart. Jn 112
