Project
3You will be signing an Introduction to be
recorded onto your Video Portfolio. These will be
graded. It will be your FIRST Expressive Project
(your next will be Sign Songs - which will begin
soon). You have about two weeks to prepare.
You will begin recording in class b
_______________________ and you must be completed
by ___________________. Youll have some class
time to complete your Outline and Mental Map.
4You will create a MENTAL MAP or Storyboard
using the format of your choice. You will be
graded on this. You may use this to record your
presentation. BUT EYE GAZE IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Do not allow your eyes to be glued to your paper
or you will lose points and points will be
deducted. Natural signing, fluency, parameters
and grammar are also part of your grade.
5Mental Map for creating an ASL narrative
Here is one example of a form that can be used
for a Mental Map.
6Here is another example of a form that can be
used for a Mental Map.
7Start with an outline then Use a map and draw
pictures, make notes, whatever you need to do to
help you organize your information. Only a map
may be used for your presentation. To help you
have a clear and naturally fluent presentation
with the correct grammar included.
8Here is my example
- Showing you the required elements for your
Introduction Project using a Mental Map. Mine
was created on the computer. - You may also create a mental map on the computer
using Clip Art.
