Title: Title: THE NITRATION OF ACETANILIDE sample notebook writeup
1Title THE NITRATION OF ACETANILIDE (sample
notebook write-up) Date _____________________
OBJECTIVE About 10-20 words. Concise but
descriptive. Example The purpose of this
experiment is to synthesize isomeric
nitroacetanilide products from acetanilide and
nitric acid.
MATERIALS List the tools you will need to carry
out your experiment. Best if you bullet or even
group in order that you will need them in the
procedure.
DIAGRAM / FLOWCHART (If you think this is
helpful to visualize the procedure or if the
procedure is complex. In order for the
experiment to be executed smoothly you should
have at least a vague picture of what your action
flow and time allocations look like. It makes it
easier to shorten the procedure from what it is
in you manual.) PROCEDURE OBSERVATIONS/C
