• The most abused illicit drug in the United States
• The product is derived from hemp plants
• The most common use of marijuana is smoking

• Numb the senses and reduce pain
• Types of Narcotics
• Opium, Morphine, Heroin
• All three come from the oriental poppy plant
• Narcotics have a high potential for abuse
