15Purpose of the new role
- Primarily
- To enhance and support the role of mentor.
- To contribute to the clinical learning
environment by providing support, educational
input and development activities for mentors,
students and staff. -

- midwives who can be supported in clinical
- practice
- Ensure student experience is of the highest
- quality and enables greatest benefit from the
- individual clinical learning experience
