• In coordination with DSS, VDH continues to assess
  potential state shelter sites with regard to
  establishing medical components at those
  facilities.
• Facility checklists including special medical
  needs criteria are being used, and these include
  consideration of collocating Federal Medical
  Station assets, if site provisions are suitable.
• Local SMN Shelter Template, and State level
  equivalent, under development using Florida,
  Texas and Mississippi examples.

• Rad Health Mobile Command/Lab replacement project
  status
• The Mobile Radiation Laboratory, primarily tasked
  to respond to nuclear power plant accidents and
  exercises, was a 1986 vintage truck damaged by
  flooding and removed from service (safety hazard)
  in August 2004.
• Replacement of the vehicle as well as
  communications, sampling and analysis equipment
  is in progress. The project is funded primarily
  through the CDC BT Grant, with a pending
  contribution from Dominion to fill the gap.
  Completion is expected by late August.
• VOPEX Surry area, June 26EAC out of sequence
  drills no health associated FEMA findings.
