  • Pop Culture thats relevant to listeners
  • Pop Culture that we own Country music news
  • The more controversial the better
  • Become the source for content so they dont hafta
    go anywhere else
  • Concert listings, school closings, weather, etc
  • Entertain- another aspect of the Loyalty Program
  • Highest traffic occurs 9-10a as listeners come to
    work and log on

18
WUSN
  • These pages demonstrate being "local" and
"relevant," and transcending the Country music
    format...
  • The Mike Flannery link (he's the political
reporter at the local CBS TV station) normally
wouldn't be relevant, but with the recent Rod
Blagojevich scandal, makes sense as it's become
    water cooler talk.
  • With President Obamas Chicago roots, our
listners couldnt get enough Obama news. The
country music tie in with the inauguration was a
    great fit.

  • Miller Beer was looking for a way to promote
their new brand MGD 64, and highlights its
benefit of having only 64 calories!) So WUSN
created the "64 Days of New Music"  which
featured a home page banner ad, and a link to a
    micro-site. Each day, the micro-site featured a
different artist, album previews, bios, video,
    etc.

79
Changes
  • In the past year
  • and
  • What will change this year

80
Pam
  • Radio truly has become a multi-media platform,
incorporating on-air, online, video, mobile and
    grass roots elements
  • Advertisers are looking to hit all of those touch
    points
  •
  • We, as broadcasters, have to evolve with these
technologies too and learn how to best utilize
    them

81
Lindsay
  • Down economy
  • Keeping content fresh
  • Deliver results
  • Demand for video
