Using Hybrid Vehicles
A Toyota Prius Hybrid car was recently added to
WMHS Courier fleet. Another hybrid vehicle, a
Ford Escape, is expected to be delivered soon.

Recycling Aluminum Cans Tabs
Recycled Cans at WMHS are picked up by Friends
Aware and Pop Tabs are donated to the Ronald
McDonald House in Morgantown, West Virginia

Recycling Plastic Bottles
Containers for Recycling Plastic Bottles have
been placed throughout WMHS and they are very
popular

Cardboard Compacting Recycling
The Cardboard Recycling Program at WMHS has been
in place for some time. Please separate your
cardboard trash and coordinate transport with the
Housekeeping Department

Confidential Paper
The WMHS Confidential Paper program has been in
place for a long time. Please continue to use
the bins for confidential papers. (Paper only
please!)

WMHS Dietary Introduced Environmental Friendly
Disposable Items on April 1
The Dietary Department has switched to Enviroware
products, which do not contain any dyes or
pigments and is formulated to degrade in months
instead of years when buried or discarded in a
landfill. All plastic cutlery, straws, stirrers,
plates, trays, hinged containers and bowls used
in the cafeterias are 100 bio-degradable and not
harmful for the environment.

Conserve Energy

• Turn off all Lights when you leave a room
• Turn off all electrical equipment when you are
  
• finished working for the day (Computers,
  Printers, etc.)

Battery Recycling WMHS is starting a new
program designed to recycle the large amount of
batteries used. Battery recycling pails are
being placed on each unit.

Newspapers/Paper/Magazines
Containers to collect these items are placed in
each department. Newspapers and non-confidential
paper go in the same container. Glossy
Magazines go into the other container next to
the paper container.

Ink Jet Cartridges
Ink Jet Cartridges will be sent back to the
manufacturer to be recycled into green products.
Recycling bins for these cartridges are located
in the mailroom in your building.

Report Any Leaky Faucets
Report any leaky faucets so we can fix them and
save on our water bill.
