- We intend to purchase Loudwater Farm for Subud
Britain. - We want to develop its capacity
- To serve Subud
- The local community
- And businesses
- Thereby fully becoming a multipurpose Subud
centre.
3The Three Aims
- 1. To improve the facilities
- for Subud events, gatherings
- and continue to support the
- local group.
- 2. To fully develop its capacity as a training
and education centre. - 3. To support the local community and social
projects.

- Local and Regional use
- Regular latihans group meetings.
- Social events open space for
- members to come and use.
- National Meeting Space
- National Helpers, Subud Britain Trustees,
National Council. - Susila Dharma board meetings and fund raising
events. - Subud Youth Association a place for youth to
gather. - International Centre
- Many International visitors stay at Loudwater
Farm. - World Subud Association, International Susila
Dharma and Helpers.

- Uses the Farm as a venue for staff training days
- The Merry Woods Nursery
- A permanent nursery school has been started on
site - for children aged 6 months-4 years.
7 Local Community Use Potential Developments
- Use of Loudwater Farm for social
- and arts projects.
- A sensory garden, built in collaboration
- with local community groups and charities,
- as a space for children, the elderly and
special needs groups to learn about the unique
local ecology through art and gardening. - We aim to offer Loudwater Farm to Community
groups and charities in the wider area, as a
residential retreat centre. At present we offer
reduced rates to charities for their away days
and functions.

Farmhouse proposed developments
- Changes to the building would increase hall
- space and make it possible to hire halls
separately eg. two simultaneous - client groups of up to30 or one large group of
up to 60. - Increase accommodation updating our existing
eight bedrooms to provide en suite - bathrooms and building a new accommodation wing
to provide 35-40 beds. - Loudwater Farm is exceptionally well positioned
to cater for groups as a - training centre, with its secluded, relaxing
rural environment and excellent travel - links. The influence of 36 years as a Subud
centre has produced an atmosphere - which our clients always remark on as
especially peaceful. -

- Develop the main farmhouse building
- Increase bedroom accommodation from 8 14 beds
- Enlarge the hall space
- c) Create a front entrance reception area
- 2. Rebuild the Cow shed and SPI hut as guest
accommodation, and - convert the studio into a guaranteed area
for Subud members. - 3. Upgrade the facilities of the beautiful old
grade II listed Barn for - functions.

conservatory on the front corner will act as a
reception area, leading to both halls. One hall
is enlarged with new toilets adjacent. A new
corridor links the old caretakers cottage to
double the downstairs living space.

house. All bedrooms are modernised to add
en-suite bathrooms. There are now 14 beds in the
main house

24Bapak at Loudwater Farm
Over the past thirty years Subud Loudwater has
welcomed hundreds of Subud members and their
children from all over the world to meet together
and stay at the Farm. Bapak also visited
Loudwater on three occasions, Sunday 30 May 1976,
Sunday 19 June 1977 and Saturday 1 September 1979.
