Introduction/Interest ApproachesIn this
lesson, the students are introduced to
hydroponics concepts the advantages of
hydroponics the four primary hydroponics methods
of growing and growing mediums.

ACTIVITYStudents test and measure the water
holding ability of various growing mediums used
in hydroponics (perlite, rockwool, expanded clay
pebbles, saw dust, gravel, vermiculite) and that
of soil.
