The Pledge of the New Canadian Flag
  • To my flag and to the country it represents, I
pledge respect and loyalty. Wave with pride from
sea to sea and within your folds, keep us ever
united. Be for all a symbol of love, freedom and
justice. God keep our flag, God protect our
    Canada.

9
What is a Pledge?
  • The word pledge means a very solemn promise.
This means the writer meant every word said in
that pledge. The pledge means The flag is a sign
    of freedom.

10
Flag Manners
  • When the flag is being carried with other flags,
it must be raised first and lowered last.
  • The flag should be either on the middle position
    or on the left.
  • Without a flagpole you can still hang your flag.
  • When your on a Canadian boat or ship it should be
    displayed on the stern(back).

11
Why I choose the Topic
  • I choose this topic because I read a book in the
public library on the Canadian Flag and I found
it interesting, and I thought it had a lot of
facts for one project, and anyways if I needed
any help I could have asked my sister because
last year when she was in grade 9, she did the
Canadian flag as a Heritage Fair Presentation.
