- In April, 2003 Governor Kathleen Sebelius
signed an executive order, establishing a Tax
Clearance program for state new-hired employees.
Since that time, further legislation has been
passed empowering the Kansas Department of
Revenue to expand Tax Clearances, covering a

another user ID and password. - Using combinations of transaction IDs and
confirmation numbers, KDOR ensures security of
the users SSN, FEIN, and personal information. - User must retain a transaction ID (no different
than commonly used purchase order numbers), which
must match the SSN/FEIN on the application to
retrieve TC status.

retrieve status. - TC status will be available following business

corresponding FEIN/SSN that they entered on the
application to continue. This step eliminates
spamming.

- If the tax clearance has passed, certificate
issued with a confirmation number. - If the clearance failed, screen will say Cannot
process request, please call

number. Provided a security layer to minimize
certificate tampering. - Certificate valid for 90 days.
- If the EIN and confirmation number do not match,
user provided with message stating Cannot
