20LEADERSHIP GRAND RAPIDS 2000
- http//www.grandrapids.org/community_programs/lgr/
lgr-program.htm - Progressive AE is a strong supporter of the
Leadership Grand Rapids / Leadership West
Michigan programs. - As a class of 2000 member, and employment issues
sub-team, we focus on a Grand Rapids urban
Renaissance Zone (a Michigan tax-free area set up
to spur new jobs investment). The area we
select, Ren Zone 1, not knowing that in 2001 this
area would become GrandWalk. We continue to meet,
post-grad, to explore the topic with others,
including the Aquinas College Community
Leadership Institute Director, Rev. George
Heartwell. Rev. Heartwell is now Mayor Heartwell
for the city of Grand Rapids. - As an architect, this participation lead me to
today.
