Science is a creative activity!

• Consider that the first thing required to study
  science is curiosity, an ability to observe,
  interpret, an imagination and a talent which
  allows one to understand the relevance of the
  observations.

CAUTION!!

• But if you are going to make astonishing
  pronouncements like
• Germs cause disease
• All matter is made of atoms
• Then you better be able to PROVE IT!

Science requires great care

• No instrument of measurement is perfect
• The very act of measuring anything changes the
  thing you are measuring
• The testing of a theory is desired more to
  falsify the statement than to confirm it
• Theory can NEVER be absolutely verified.
• A theory rarely agrees with experimentation since
  there are infinite possible interferences
• Accuracy agrees with stats, is the bullseye
• Precision is the ability to reproduce results
  over and over.
