    selection
  • Use the right mouse click from OnSchedule or
    Account to navigate between areas of the software
    using the same patient

    Toolbar will take you to other areas of the
    program based on the patient you have selected on
    the schedule

  • EagleSoft offers several options for walkout
    processing
  • Fast Walkout from the edit appointment screen
    will automatically pull any services attached to
    the appointment into the walkout eliminating the
    need to manually key in the services
  • Quick Walkout allows you to skip the payment and
    insurance screens during the walkout process
  • Uses default option for submitting claims
  • Disabling prompt to distribute will
    automatically distribute any payment posted to
    oldest balance which eliminates distribution
    screen
  • Only can be disabled if office does is not on
    Payment Disbursements
  • Can be disabled under File/Preferences/Accounting

    codes in the walkout eliminating the need to
    memorize service codes. Does EagleSoft offer
    anything like this?
  • Yes, EagleSoft does have the ability to create
    exploding codes
  • Setup through Lists/Exploding Codes
  • Begin each Exploding Code with a . so they will
    be grouped together
  • Remember to use easy to remember descriptions

  • Can I print a receipt for an entire family and
    include as many days as I would like within
    EagleSoft?
  • Yes, you have a few options
  • Select the Report button in the Account screen
    and choose desired date range
  • Select specific services and/or payments in the
    Account screen and right mouse click to select
    View Walkout. You can then print the items you
    selected
  • Select Todays receipt which will print all
    detail for the current day if the family was seen
    all on the same day

  • Is there an option in EagleSoft chart to view
    both existing and proposed treatment on the same
    tooth?
  • Yes, you can setup viewing options upon opening a
    patients chart under Chart Preferences
  • If you want to modify the view on the fly, while
    in the patients chart, simply click on the Show
    What button for a one time viewing option
  • You may also right click on a tooth and choose
    history to see what services are attached to that
    tooth

  • In Dental.com, I did not have to close insurance
    claims as it was done automatically. Does
    EagleSoft offer this as well?
  • In Version 13.00, we created a preference to
    automatically enable the final payment option
    when posting an insurance claim.
  • To set this up, simply go to File/Preferences/Insu
    rance and check When making insurance payments,
    default Final Payment as checked.

  • EagleSoft has Alerts that you can create in your
    system.
  • 3 categories
  • Account- can create list under Lists/General
    Setup/Account Alerts
  • Patient- can create list under Lists/General
    Setup/Patient Alerts
  • Prescription- when assigning a prescription to a
    patient, you have a checkbox option to create
    alert based on current prescription
  • Preferences can be setup to define when the
    alerts should appear on a patient under
    File/Preferences/Alerts

  • EagleSoft has Notes that you can create in your
    system.
  • Patient Notes- free form section to enter
    specific information regarding patient selected
  • Account Notes- free form section to enter
    specific information regarding account selected
  • Can create alert See Patient Notes or See
    Account Notes if you want staff to view notes
  • Auto Notes- Allows you to save frequently used
    notes so you can assign to a service code which
    will automatically create a post-procedure note
    when the service code is walked out
  • If you would like to edit an Auto note assigned
    to a patient, go to note history window and make
    modifications
  • Can also assign an Auto Note to an Insurance
    claim Remarks for Unusual Services section

  • Payment disbursements (Provider Payment
    Distribution)
  • Setup under File/Preferences/Accounting
  • EagleSoft has a 2 options on how payments are
    posted on family accounts
  • Distribute amount to Preferred Dentist-
    automatically distributes payment to the
    patients preferred dentist- regardless of who
    performed the services
  • Prompt to Distribute Payments- will pay off the
    provider with the oldest balance first, but will
    allow you to over ride the distribution at the
    time payment is being posted
