Location
  • Located in the Western part of Europe.
  • France is surrounded by three bodies of water
    The Mediterranean Sea, the English Channel, and
    the Atlantic Ocean.
  • France is also surrounded by seven countries
    Spain, Andorra, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany,
    Switzerland, and Italy.
  • France also has territories in North America, the
    Caribbean, South America, the Pacific Ocean, and
    in Antarctica.

Geography
  • France has a total land area of 220,558 square
    miles.
  • France has land geography including the
    snow-capped mountains of the Alps, and mountains
    on their border with Spain.
  • France has about all of the land geography that
    the U.S. has and is a whole lot smaller.

  • French presidents are elected by a vote from
    adults and stay in for a term of a five year
    period.
  • Their presidents are called The President of the
    Republic.
  • Like in the U.S., the French government is
    separated into two large opposing groups called
    the French Socialist Party and the Rassemblement
    pour la Republique.
