If we are to maintain a close walk with God and
if we want to receive that ultimate goal of
heaven, we have to over come the problem of sin
our life

So how does one over come sin?
We have to learn how sin develops in our life

Enticed
Temptation includes two things
1) Lust A strong desire for something 2)
Enticement An opportunity and encouragement to
satisfy ones desire

Now at this stage in the development of sin, sin
has not actually been committed because there is
no sin in being tempted

So for sin to be brought forth it requires some
sort of action on our part

This death here talks about a separation from
God, This happens first in this life but if not
corrected will it will also occur in the second

Sin will be the victor in our life if we receive
this final punishment (second death) But we can
be the victor if we over come sin and stop it
some where along the line.
So how do we over sin in our life?
Change our desire

desire that brings sin into out life

Yes its not easy to change our desires and it
will not happen over night, So what do you do in
the mean time
Limit your opportunities
Desire opportunity trouble

Exercise self control
Remember sin comes into existence when we yield
to action in fulfilling our desire

So here you are your changing your desires, Your
limiting your opportunities and, your exercising
self control and you still find your self
standing in a big old pile of sin Now what???

In Comes Forgiveness
Remember sin / Satan has their true victory if we
die in our sins
But because of Jesus we have forgiveness of
sins 1Jn 21-2

We are washed by his blood through baptism
God is willing and able to help us over come sin
at any point in our life. God has provided his
word to help us control and change our desire.
God will help limit our opportunities. God has
given his children the gift of the Holy Spirit to
help us exercise self control and strengthen the
inner man.
