• Strengths
• Keeps an eye on profitability
• Is aware of latest methods to achieve it
• Constant review of the marketplace conditions

• Weaknesses
• Lost in the pursuit of knowledge
• Can be detracted from the daily tasks
• Profitability may suffer

The character-based leader

• Strengths
• Profitable job performance, if personal traits
  are positive
• These traits can be inspirational to the team
• Enhanced chances of pulling a bad job out of the
  ditch

• Weaknesses
• Overblown sense of self-importance
• Thinks he/she is always right
• Usually reluctant to try to change for better

• Strengths
• Analyzes micro and macro view to make the best
  choice
• Modest to complete lack of ego
• Allows team members to utilize their own
  strengths

• Weaknesses
• Lacks attention to detail
• Mild streak of laziness due to empowering others
• Tends to avoid conflict or discipline

The functional (expert) leader

• Strengths
• Has hard won insights on ways to accomplish tasks
• Remains calm and focused
• Has seen worse and not only survived, but thrived

• Weaknesses
• Ego and over-exaggerated self-importance
• Personal conflict nobody wants to work with him
• Refuses to follow company policies

The responsive leader

• Strengths
• Able to take any job at any stage of disarray and
  close it out profitably.
• Higher response to self-confident leader from the
  fellow stakeholders

• Weaknesses
• Distrustful of others whom he hasnt worked with
  before
• Bends the rules to show progress
• Makes a mess for someone else to clean up
