Smart Secure Trade Lanes
  • Phase 1 started in November 2002, shipping
  • E-sealed containers between Hong Kong and
    Seattle.
  • Followed in March 2003 by Rotterdam - New York
    and the Felixstowe New York Tradelanes.
  • In all, 600, containers were shipped with
    Electronic-seals during phase 1, ending in
    November 2003.
  • Participants a.o. Shippers Target Stores,
    Xerox, BASF. Carriers a.o. MOL, Hapag Lloyd.
