BDI software agent
  • In our agent system proposed here, each agent is
    made flesh by assigning its own Belief
    (knowledge), Desire and Intention.
  • Each of ours agent we could describe with four
    characteristic
  • Situated - they are embedded in their hotel
    environment
  • Goal directed - they have goals that they try to
    achieve
  • Reactive - they react to changes in their
    environment
  • Social - they can communicate with other agents

Agents properties
  • Each agent is characterize by own
  • Beliefs - represent the informational state of
    the agent - in other words its beliefs about the
    world (including itself and other agents)
  • Desires - (or goals) represent the motivational
    state of the agent. They represent objectives or
    situations that the agent would like to
    accomplish or bring about.
  • Intentions - represent the deliberative state of
    the agent what the agent has chosen to do.
  • Plans - are sequences of actions that an agent
    can perform to achieve one or more of its
    intentions.

    warehouse

Possible scenario
  • Hotel manager receives room reservation request,
    find room that is not occupied. When room become
    free again occupation ended, then send to one
    of Maids cleaning request.
  • Maid receives refill order, end refill Maid
    cleaning stuff. After Maids clean up room she
    send answer to Hotel manager that room have
    cleaning status ok and it could be rent for
    another client.
  • Maid receives cleaning request, starts to
    cleaning room. If Maid have lack of towels,
    toilet paper or soap she made an order to
    Warehouse manager to refill.
