Clerk of Course - Definition
  • Appendix D Clerk of course Track
  • The Clerk of Course with the Referee shall ensure
    that the course is correctly set out and kept
    perfectly clear. When hurdles and steeplechase
    races are included in the programme, the Clerk
    must ensure that all hurdles and barriers are
    correctly set and placed and that they are
    removed from the track when no longer required.
    In addition, the Clerk shall ensure that all
    equipment such as judges stand, bell, batons etc
    is ready for use.

Whos your boss on the day?
  • The Technical Manager Does your report.
  • The Technical Manager, under the direction of the
    Meeting Manager, shall be responsible for
    ensuring that the track, runways, circles, arcs,
    sectors, landing areas for field events and all
    equipment are in accordance with specification in
    Rules for Competition. The Technical Manager
    shall normally have overall supervision of the
    Clerk of Course (Track) and Clerks of Course
    (Field).
