- Computers for Communities
- He has worked with schools, prisons and other
organizations to refurbish and distribute over
1,000 machines to people who otherwise wouldn't
have one. - Computers for Communities has expanded beyond
just delivering the machines It has embarked on
a campaign to teach people how to use them.

- Jennifer Zwilling, 16
- Tourette Syndrome Association Youth Ambassador
Program -
- Having Tourette's Syndrome her entire life,
Jennifer decided to create awareness about to
disease by speaking in front of students at
school, educating them, lifting the veil of myth
that surrounded Tourette Syndrome. Eventually she
started the National Tourette Syndrome Youth
Ambassador Program. -

- Jasmine Lawrence, 16
- Eden Body Works
- After a chemical hair relaxer caused almost all
of her hair to fall out, Jasmine decided to make
her own. She put her allowance together and made
her own, using ingredients such as lavender oil. - After borrowing 2,000 from her parents, the
high school junior launched her company. This
year she expects to earn 100,000 in sales.
8Atlantas 40 under 40 will be selecting and
honoring Atlantas 20 under 20!
- 21st Century Leaders will facilitate the process
but the dynamic young professionals who are
already in leadership positions in Atlanta will
be selecting and honoring Atlantas 20 Under 20
at Winter Leadership/ Goizueta Teen Leadership
Summit 2008. Nomination forms will be online
December 1st and the winners will be showcased on
21CLs website once they are announced.

accomplishments and ideas that have grown into
extraordinary achievements.

- Ashutosh Gupta, 19
- Gupta Financial Consulting
- From January to July, 2007, Gupta ran an online
broadcasting business called Inzum.com that
fizzled after he had differences in opinion about
its future with his partner. In July, Gupta
started a new business, Gupta Financial
Consulting, which draws on his experience running
Inzum to do management consulting for small
businesses. He estimates his business will have
revenues between 150,000 and 300,000 this year.

- Kelly Voigt, 14
- Prevent the Bite
- When she was seven years old, Kelly Voigt was
attacked by a dog and savagely bitten in her face
and throat. Kelly found a way to deal with her
experience through the help and support of her
family. Kelly started Prevent the Bite, an
organization dedicated to teaching kids how to
safely interact with dogs. Today, she travels
from school to school, giving presentations and
demonstrations.

- A social networking site for teens,
myYearbook.com was hatched around the family
dinner table by siblings Catherine and Dave two
years ago. With older brother Geoff now on board,
the site has since grown from a single high
school to more than 3 million members and more
than 4.5 million visitors a month, ranking it
third among all social networking sites in the
United States, behind MySpace and Facebook.

- Bens company provides maps of parking garages
and their ever-fluctuating rates, allowing users
to compare different prices at different times. - The company has since expanded to three cities
New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. Sann has
partnerships with parking companies, allowing his
site to offer reservations on daily and monthly
spots.

- Jordan Schwartz, 14
- The Childrens Bilingual Theater
- Jordan Schwartz noticed that kids learning
Spanish at school didn't have a place to practice
it. She created The Children's Bilingual Theater,
which puts on plays for schools and communities
encouraging others to learn different languages.

- Hannah Taylor, 11
- The Ladybug Foundation, Inc.
- Hannah speaks out all over Canada about homeless
people and how to help them. She has raised over
1 million dollars for Canadian hunger and
homelessness issues. - Much of the money Hannah raises comes from her
Ladybug jars -- red jars painted to look like
ladybugs that pop up across Canada during "Make
Change" month to collect people's spare change.

- Geneva Johnson, 16
- Bring It On!
- Geneva Johnson wanted to do something about the
drugs and crime rampant in her Bronx community.
She created Bring It On! in order to galvanize
local youth and provide alternatives to illegal
activities. Bring It On! gets hundreds of kids to
put energy into community service projects such
as environmental cleanup at the Bronx River, and
ventures to create support networks for at-risk
teenage girls.
