How do you revise for Maths?
  • Past Papers
  • Revision Guides

How long should you spend revising?
  • Between 30 minutes and an hour is about the right
    amount of time for one session

How do you Create the Right Environment?
  • Finding somewhere that is quiet and allows you to
    concentrate is essential
  • Do not listen to music or have the TV on when you
    revise.
  • Take a risk and turn off your mobile for an hour.
  • You will survive
  • Have loads of really nice biscuits available

Choosing a revision topic
  • Decide which topic you wish to revise
  • Make sure you have all the equipment and
    materials that you need
  • Have a folder or new book that you keep neat that
    contains your own revision notes

Lets choose a trapezium question?
  • If you are finding the area of a shape you need a
    formula. Look it up.
  • Write down the formula that you have found
  • Set out your work clearly and make sure that you
    show all workings

General Exam Tips
  • During the exam check through the first 10
    questions again and again if you have time.
  • Look out for decimal place questions and
    significant figures (often hidden in questions to
    do with Circles)

  • Every year there are certain questions and topics
    that many students drop marks on

  • How can you ensure that you learn from their
