• What is Secure File Swarming?
• Idea of adding security aspects to Peer-to-Peer
  file distribution systems.
• In this case, BitTorrent has been given
  end-to-end encryption, and client authentication.
• The name of the implementation is SecureTorrent

• What are its benefits?
• Bandwidth needed for distribution is spread over
  all nodes in network
• Content has redundancy
• Scales well
• Cheap to implement
• Keeps content secure via encryption and
  authentication
• All access to content is auditable

• How has this been done?
• A BitTorrent Client and Tracker have been
  extended to provide the security functionality
  necessary
• Tests show that the overhead of the security does
  not affect the overall transfer speed and
  scalability in normal situations

• Implementation
• Client based on The Hunting of the Snark Project,
  by Mark Wielaard
• Tracker based on PHPBTTrack by DeHackEd
• Client is written in Java, and Tracker is written
  in PHP and uses a MySQL database for its backend.
